We are pleased to announce that issue #21 of The Spark!, theoretical and discussion journal of the Communist Party of Canada, has recently been published. The current issue includes a feature article on the ongoing debate around the socialist transition entitled “What is the role of private production in getting to socialism” by Asad Ali, “Why defend public education?” by Jane Bouey (Vancouver COPE School Board Trustee), and a review of Communist energy policy in Canada from 1963 to 2009, along with book reviews, editorial, and other features.

This 40-page issue makes for excellent reading, and should be on everyone’s “must have” subscription list.

We’d also like to inform you that the final documents of the 36th Convention of the Communist Party of Canada held in February 2010 are also now available to order. This 40-page report includes the main policy resolution adopted by the Convention delegates, as well as the keynote address, the new Plan of Work, and other reports.

To receive this report by mail, simply send us a cheque made out to “Communist Party of Canada”, and mail to 290A Danforth Ave., Toronto, Ont. M4K 1N6. The cost is $3.00 + $1.00 shipping /per issue. On orders of 5 or more copies, all shipping costs will be waived.
