PRESIDENT Raúl Castro Ruz yesterday received President Mauricio Funes Cartegena of the Republic of El Salvador, who is on an official visit to our country. The meeting took place yesterday afternoon in the Palace of the Revolution.
Raúl receives president of El SalvadorAfter the official reception ceremony, the two leaders discussed the current state of bilateral relations and expressed their will to strengthen economic, trade and cooperative links between El Salvador and Cuba. They also exchanged views on international issues.
Also participating in the meeting were Salvadorian Foreign Minister Hugo Roger Martínez Bonilla and, on the Cuban side, Vice President Esteban Lazo Hernández and Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parilla.
