BDS Demonstration at Le Marcheur

Rebel Youth and People's Voice have been covering the issue of Boycott Divestment Sanctions against Apartheid Israel, and most recently in our new issue the campaign against the shoe store Le Marcheur.Le Marcheur retails a brand of Israeli shoes made by Rishon Lizon. Here are some pictures of the action today (and the so-called counter demonstration who spent most time warming their toes inside the store).

The demonstration sets up, with the police appearing as well.

The picket got a good reception despite cold weather from the folks on the street and a number of good honks of the car horn in support.

Notable amount the counter-demonstrators were representatives from the Montreal racist Teaparty Movement, two Liberal MPs, two MNA's and journalists who are crossing the picket line at the lock-out against Le Journal de Montreal. So much for balanced reporting that the corporate press claims to insist upon! We know where we stand.
